The # Up Top

You know what number I'm referring to.

Followers.

Whether it's on Twitter or Blogger, I look at it every single time I log in. Habit, I guess.

And when it goes up, I do a little happy dance.

But when it goes down, I honestly get a little sad. Is what I'm saying boring? Annoying? Irrelevent? Why did they go through the trouble of unfollowing?

If you say it doesn't matter, you are probably right. It doesn't.

But do I care? Yes. I do. And you know you do too. This is your little part of the internet where you put yourself out there. And when people unfollow it's like they are telling you they don't like you or what you have to say.

And that makes me a little sad.

  1. I always pay attention to it too. What makes me even sadder is when I get lots of new followers and ZERO interaction. Le sigh :(

  2. I lost two this week - it happens! I'm sure everyone feels the same. :)

  3. I agree... I always tell myself that I shouldn't care. But I do. Oh well..
The sucky thing about it is that I don't have too many followers to begin with so when I lose one it's a little bit depressing. HAHA

Anyways... I don't think you are boring!

I have been reading for a while but have not commented (bc I am usually at work!). Just know that I am here :)

  4. I feel the same way! When I lose followers I get sad and go back through my posts to see if I said anything bad. Is it a pain to unfollow? I don't even know how!
