Christmas Re-Cap

This Christmas has quickly come and gone, and not to be a scrooge, but I'm happy the holidays are over. Yes, I like spending extra time with the fam, and giving and receiving gifts, but it is  SO stressfull. People are whack-a-doos, stores are crazy, and you know there are those family members that you just tolerate because you have to.

Even though I'm glad the holidays are over, I had such a good one. Christmas Eve began with breakfast at Shoney's, because my mother hates cooking. And since they found out Shoney's is open, we've been going there to deck the halls. We then went back to the mom/step-dad's house for gifts. It was extra special this year because it was Raelyn's first Christmas. Gosh, I love that kid. I never knew that I could love a little one so much.

I received far more gifts than I deserved. One of my favorites was the Happy Everything plate that I had been eyeing for forever.
When I was opening the attachment, Mom exclaimed, "That's the only one that reminded me of you."  2 wine glasses. Thanks, Mom? What is she implying???? Lol
Sister got me an owl attachment. Owls are always in my gift pile.

Ornaments are one of favorites to give and receive. I got two this year.
"To a very special aunt at Christmas" from a very special little girl, Raelyn.
My mother knows me so well.
My favorite gift was a sentimental one. My grandmother used to crochet like it was her job. She made little doilies all of the time. Mom had one framed for me, sister, cousin, and aunt. I absolutely love that I have something that I can keep that will remind me of her everytime I look at it. Granny is still with us, but she's had several strokes and not much of a memory anymore. I almost cried when I opened this and realized what it was. I love sentimental gifts.

Christmas Eve lunch was with my Nanny and dad. Then Christmas night was with the big Tracy family. My maternal grandparents had 6 kids, 14 grandkids, and multiple great-grandkids and even several great-great-grandkids. Everyone but 2 of the members made it to Christmas. To say it's a gathering is an understatement.

Santa Paws even came to leave little Mia with a gift. She still hasn't used it. It takes her awhile to use new things.
What was your favorite gift? Hope you all had a great one.
